FERNDALE, Wash. — A local state lawmaker doesn’t think businesses, schools or other organizations should have any say over whether you get a COVID vaccination.
Senator Doug Ericksen says he’ll introduce legislation prohibiting discrimination based on someone’s immunization status.
He said while he believes the vaccine is safe, he doesn’t believe people should be forced to be immunized.
The Ferndale Republican’s proposal would ban public and private employers from forcing workers to be vaccinated,
Schools could not require them for attendance and people could not be denied access to any places or businesses that are open to the public including travel on planes, trains and buses.
