OLYMPIA, Wash. — A local legislator has proposed a bill to prohibit discrimination based on vaccine status.
42nd District Republican Senator Doug Ericksen of Ferndale originally announced the measure in December that would apply to government, schools and businesses.
Other minority Republican supporters of the measure say they aren’t anti-vaccine, but believe no one should be forced to get the shot.
Senate Bill 5144 was co-sponsored by 39th District Senator Keith Waggoner and has not advanced in the current session.
