BELLINGHAM, Wash. – While most of us avoid close contact because of coronavirus fears, McDonald’s Assistant Manager Alysha Neely didn’t hesitate to take action when she heard a person was unconscious in the parking lot outside of the King Street restaurant on March 25th.

The 40-year-old man was in cardiac arrest after an overdose and he had no pulse even after a bystander administered Narcan.

Neely quickly performed mouth-to-mouth CPR and the man began breathing on his own as paramedics arrived.

Whatcom County Emergency Medical Services awarded Alysha a Gold Lifesaving Medal in a ceremony at the McDonald’s last Thursday.
