BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Every year, kids and families struggle to replace missing meals provided by schools.
Janet Kim with Puget Sound Energy says PSE is teaming up with local retailers to help Food Lifeline combat hunger.
She says the effort does a couple of good things.
“Conserving energy and helping out our environment, but also when you donate, those rebates will be helping Food Lifeline. Who’s also a big believer in conserving food. So, conservation is key and we’re also helping investing in the future through our children.”
When you buy a Green-lite LED at participating Ace and True Value Hardware stores this month, Greenlite will donate 10 cents to Food Lifeline.
You can also help by buying some energy efficient appliances at DeWaard & Bode and Judd & Black stores.
Those purchases include rebates.
PSE will match each dollar donated from rebates, up to $5,000.
