DEMING, Wash. — Residents of the Mount Baker Foothills will have a new shopping option this summer.
Locals Troy and Aubree Lozano purchased the historic grocery store property at Nugents Corner in November 2018.
It’s located at the intersection of Mount Baker Highway and State Route 9 — 4 miles west of Deming and 9 miles east of Bellingham.
Nugents Corner Market & Hardware will offer a broad variety of products and will include an in-house butcher, prepared meals including fried chicken and pizza, fresh produce and bread, pet food, and more.
The hardware section will include a selection of plumbing and electrical repair products along with paint, tools, and lawn-and-garden products.
They plan to open in August.
