Long-term detour set on Mt. Baker Highway

GLACIER, Wash. – Drivers traveling west of Glacier on the Mount Baker Highway should prepare for delays during the next few months.

Crews are building a bridge across Hedrick Creek to improve fish habit.

Both directions of traffic are now shifted onto a temporary single-lane bypass.

A stoplight is alternating drivers through the detour.

The work is scheduled to be finished in October.
