BLAINE, Wash. – Christmas, Boxing Day for our Canadian friends and New Year’s are fast approaching, which means our border crossings to and from Canada are going to be very busy.
Customs and Border Protection is urging travelers to plan ahead for long wait times and the agency strongly suggests you get an enhanced driver’s license, ID or NEXUS card to expedite the process.
Drivers are encouraged to use the less-crowded crossings in Sumas or Lynden, and to find out peak travel times so they can avoid trying to cross at those times.
