A Charlie Brown Christmas has long been an iconic and classic holiday cartoon, but it may be interesting to note that the little girl behind the voice of Lucy grew up to be the librarian at Squalicum High School.

Tracy Shaw tells KING-5 she was a child actor in 1965 and landed the role of Lucy when she was 10-years-old.

Shaw says she has a lot of good memories of her time on the soundstage and that, “It’s actually quite an honor to be known as Lucy.”

And it’s a testament to the special’s staying power that Shaw gets new students every year asking her if the rumors are true.
