WHATCOM COUNTY, Wash. – A Lummi Nation man has been sentenced in federal court for beating three people with a metal baseball bat.

Talin Morris will spend the next 5 years behind bars for the assaults in May 2019.

Morris was under the influence of methamphetamine when he began beating the people at a home on the Lummi Reservation.

One victim suffered a concussion and other injuries while another required extensive surgery for a broken arm.

Attorneys noted that at the time of Morris’ arrest, he had just been released from prison for a separate assault.
