Seven Whatcom County high school football teams are ranked in this week’s Associated Press state poll released Wednesday. The Lynden Lions and Lummi Blackhawks are the highest. Lynden is #2 in Class 2A and Lummi is #2 in 1B. Lummi was #1 last week but fell a spot after not playing in Week One.
In Class 1A Mount Baker is up a spot to #3. Nooksack Valley is #9 and Meridian is #10.
In the 3A poll Ferndale is up to #4 and Squalicum checks in at #6.
