BELLINGHAM, Wash. — The COVID-19 testing site in Lynden is closing next week.
The last day of testing at the site at the Northwest Washington Fairgrounds will be on Wednesday, April 28.
The health department says the site is closing due to reduced use of the site as the number of tests performed each week has decreased by more than 87% since the third wave of cases that peaked in January 2021.
COVID-19 testing is still available every day of the week at the Bellingham International Airport site.
