BELLINGHAM, Wash. — The COVID-19 testing site at the Northwest Washington fairgrounds in Lynden will no longer operate on Saturdays.
A spokesperson for the Whatcom County Health Department says usage of the testing site in Lynden has dropped since the introduction of a new COVID-19 testing site at the Bellingham airport.
She says the department can now reassign staff to bolster other parts of their COVID-19 response, including vaccination efforts.
The Lynden site will continue to provide tests on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays while the Bellingham site remains open every week day.
