OLYMPIA, Wash. – A local legislator has introduced a bill to make it easier for food trucks to operate in Washington State.
Republican 42nd District Representative Vincent Buys introduced the bill Wednesday.
It would allow food trucks to prepare and cook all of their food in site, as opposed to requiring commissary kitchen preparation, as long as they maintain state and local health standards.
Buys said the bill would allow the businesses to operate more freely and help reduceĀ their operational costs.
It will be heard by the House Health Care and Wellness Committee.
