LYNDEN, Wash. – A Lynden man is in jail after a chase and an arrest the following day at his home.
Lynden Police say an officer tried to pull over Ira Dean Hagins on Grover Street early Saturday morning.
He took off, ended up hitting the guard rail at Vinup and Badger, then pulled into his driveway and disappeared into his house.
The officers knocked on the door of the East Badger Road home, but they say Hagins, 36, wouldn’t come out.
They decided not to get into a standoff with him, and came back to the home on Sunday.
That’s when they arrested Hagins on suspicion of several charges.
