LYNDEN, Wash. – Lynden, with its peaceful windmills and friendly community, is considered the second safest city in the state by the National Council for Home Safety and Security.
On the council’s website, Alarms-dot-org, it shows in this year’s report that both violent and property crimes in Lynden are about a quarter of the state’s average.
Ferndale is the next city from Whatcom County, coming in at 21.
Sammamish is first, with West Richland, Camas and Maple Valley rounding out the top five.
