Lynden Rodeo raises record amount for cancer care

LYNDEN, Wash. — The Lynden PRCA Rodeo’s Tough Enough to Wear Pink committee just donated $50,000 to patient care at PeaceHealth St. Joseph Cancer Center, the highest total they have raised in eleven years.

This comes from sponsors and individual contributions during the rodeo in August at the Northwest Washington Fair as well as proceeds from the committee’s annual dinner auction.

It all goes to benefit patients with any type of cancer.

Nationally, Tough Enough to Wear Pink has raised more than $26 million since 2004 for breast cancer research and patient care.

Last year, the Lynden PRCA Rodeo was among the top 15 Tough Enough to Wear Pink fundraising events.
