LYNDEN, Wash. — Lynden students won’t head back to the classroom this Fall.
Monday night , the Lynden school board approved a reopening plan for the 2020-21 school year that calls for all schools to start with distance learning.
Superintendent Jim Frey says that starting with in-person learning would likely result in shutdowns and quarantines that would be even more disruptive to learning.
With the update from Lynden, that means that all K-12 public and tribal schools in Whatcom County will start the year online amid the coronavirus pandemic.
