BLAINE, Wash. — Donald Trump supporters have set another road rally for Saturday in Lynden and with three other Whatcom County meetup locations.
Retired Lt. Col. Jim McKinney of Blaine is one of the organizers of the “We Are America Magaween Road Rally”.
He says the intent of the rally is for attendees to be patient, positive, and patriotic, while showing support for law enforcement, the president, and the nation.
McKinney says two similar rallies in Whatcom County over the past two weeks attracted a number of vocal counter-demonstrators, some of whom threw eggs at drivers, though he says most observers were supportive.
Saturday’s rally is set to start at 1pm at Bender Park in Lynden as well as locations in Bellingham, Blaine, and Deming.
