BELLINGHAM, Wash. — After nearly a year of investigation, Bellingham Police arrested a man Tuesday under accusations of second degree attempted rape.
Lieutenant Danette Beckley says they arrested Ralph Dasheir Arnold after video surveillance and other evidence they gathered gave them probable cause to believe he assaulted a woman in September 2017.
The woman, who was suffering from a back injury, agreed to hang out with Arnold, a man she was acquainted with.
She tells police while sitting down in the car to rest her back, Arnold reclined her seat and assaulted her, despite her fighting and screaming, but she was physically limited because of her injury.
