BELLINGHAM, Wash. – A serial criminal is back behind bars at the Whatcom County Jail after intimidating a delivery person.
Police reports state that a woman was delivering newspapers in Bellingham’s Birchwood neighborhood around 2:45 on Tuesday morning, April 19th, when she was approached by the suspect.
The woman told officers that the suspect, 40-year-old Lance Jefferson, pointed a gun at her while she was trying to do her job.
Jefferson was taken into custody after trying to leave the area.
He has a lengthy criminal record dating back to the 90’s, which includes an attempted escape from a prison work facility and assaulting another prisoner.
