BELLINGHAM, Wash. – A man is in jail for assaulting a nurse who was caring for him at PeaceHealth St. Joseph Medical Center.
Court records state that Michael Yrizarris grabbed a nurse’s breast as she prepared him to be discharged from the hospital on Monday, October 4th.
The arresting officer says he admitted to the assault and says he doesn’t know what came over him.
The nurse told the officer the experience was humiliating.
Yrizarris had been arrested for a separate assault on a stranger just a day before this incident.
