BLAINE, Wash. – Washington State Patrol arrested a man over the weekend for driving the wrong way on I-5 near Blaine.

Officers were called after the driver was seen driving south in the northbound lanes Saturday afternoon.

The man parked his car in the right lane and got out of his car, prompting a second driver to park his vehicle in the left lane, blocking all traffic.

A third driver attempting to avoid the parked cars lost control and flipped their vehicle into the median.

No injuries were reported as a result of the rollover.

The wrong way driver later got back in his car, driving for 4 miles before being pulled over at the Birch Bay Lynden Road exit.
