BELLINGHAM, Wash. – A man faces a charge of defrauding an innkeeper after he decided he needed time in some upscale digs.
Court records show that a clerk at the Oxford Suites on Meridian in Bellingham called police on September 15th about a person who was inside a room that had not been rented for the night.
An employee unlocked the door for officers and used a tool to defeat the security lock inside.
They found Taylor Adams inside, who told them he found the door to the room open and decided to stay there.
But a damaged window screen on the floor led them to a different conclusion.
He faces a felony and other charges for breaking into the room that goes for over $200 per night.
