BELLINGHAM, Wash. – A loud party devolved into fights and gunshots Saturday night, April 23rd.
Bellingham Police Lt. Claudia Murphy reports officers responded to noise complaints at the Viking Circle apartment complex on Lincoln Street.
As they approached a group on a landing, a man pulled a handgun and fired several shots into the air.
The person with the gun got away and is being sought.
No one was found to have suffered any gunshot wounds but many had injuries from fights.
Jayden Nilsen of Everson, was involved in a fight and officers took him into custody.
They say he refused to follow instructions and continually harassed officers investigating the scene and paramedics helping those who were hurt.
