BELLINGHAM, Wash. — A man was seriously injured when he was hit by a car on Cordata Parkway.
A police spokesperson says the 62-year-old man was crossing the street between two street lights at about 5:30 PM last Thursday when he was hit by a southbound car driven by a 20-year-old man.
The driver immediately stopped, called 911 and assisted others in helping the man until medics arrived.
The man who was hit was taken to St. Joseph Hospital and then to Harborview Medical Center with very serious injuries.
Officers say no drugs or alcohol were involved and the driver was not at fault.
