BELLINGHAM, WASH. – A man suffers cuts and burns in a Happy Valley house fire.
The kitchen fire broke out late Sunday night.
Bill Hewett with the Bellingham Fire Department says the man cut his arm on glass and was burned as he tried to escape through a window.
Hewett tells The Bellingham Herald a woman in the home wasn’t hurt.
The fire started on the stovetop.
Firefighters did limit damage from flames to the kitchen, but there’s smoke damage throughout the house.
