BELLINGHAM, Wash. – A man continues to recover following a suspected DUI crash on the Guide late last week.
Bellingham Police Lt. Claudia Murphy says officers were called after a car flipped over into a retention pond Friday night, January 21st, around 7:30.
The driver, an unidentified male, was found severely injured inside his car.
Fire and rescue crews were able to extricate him and take him to the hospital.
Investigators say the car damaged several nearby vehicles and pulled a fire hydrant out of the ground.
Murphy says the crash is being investigated as a DUI.
