BELLINGHAM, Wash. — A hit-and-run accident Wednesday night on I-5 near Samish Way put a man who was walking on the highway in the hospital.
The State Patrol reports a trooper responded to a 911 call at about 9:30 that a man was walking in both lanes of southbound I-5.
The trooper found Lucas Brazier of Woodinville in the brush with head trauma and leg injuries that they say are consistent with being hit by a car.
Brazier was taken to Harborview Medical Center and troopers are still investigating, but don’t have any information to release on the suspected vehicle or driver at this point.
