OLYMPIA, Wash. — Ballots for the November 6th General Election will be in the mail next Wednesday, October 17.

Dozens of races across Washington will determine if Democrats maintain, increase or lose their control of the Legislature.

Currently, Democrats hold a one-seat advantage in the Senate and two-seat lead in the House.

All House seats are up for election, and voters will decide on roughly half of the Senate.

While many incumbents are fighting to hold their seats, 17 of the races on the ballot are for vacant seats.

Candidates agree that nationwide political rhetoric as well as sexual misconduct accusations against local state and congressional leaders on both sides are complicating election efforts.
