The Seattle Mariners had the #6 pick in the first round of the Major League Baseball Draft Wednesday night.  They took University of Georgie pitcher Emerson Hancock.  Hancock is a 6-4, 215 lb. right-hander.  He only made four starts in his corona-virus shortened junior season.  He had an 8-3 record as a sophomore with a 1.99 ERA and 99 strikeouts in 90 innings.

It’s the third year in a row the M’s have taken a college pitcher in the first round.
