The Seattle Mariners have promoted Nasusel Cabrera to interim bullpen coach. His new duties started Friday in Chicago. Mariners GM Jerry Dipoto and manager Scott Servais announced the move Friday.
Cabrera joined the Mariners Major League staff in July 2015, working as a batting practice pitcher and assisting with other duties. He was previously the Mariners Latin America pitching coordinator for six seasons.
Cabrera replaces Mike Hampton, who tendered his resignation as bullpen coach on Sunday, July 9th.
