\SEATTLE, Wash. – Seattle Mariners Executive Vice President & General Manager of Baseball Operations Jerry Dipoto announced today that RHP Casey Lawrence has been recalled from AAA Tacoma and RHP Cody Martin was selected from AAA Tacoma. RHP Andrew Moore was optioned to AAA Tacoma and infielder Tyler Smith was designated for assignment.

Lawrence (#61) and Martin (#57) will be in uniform and available for tonight’s game vs. the New York Mets.

Lawrence, 29, is making his third appearance with the Mariners this season. He has posted a 5.71 ERA with 16 strikeouts and 3 walks in two previous stints (5/17-6/2 and 6/12-13). He was claimed off waivers from Toronto on May 11 after being designated for assignment on May 8.

Martin, 27, has earned 1 save with a 3.81 ERA with 37 strikeouts and 8 walks in 12 games (3 starts) with AAA Tacoma this season.

Martin made 9 appearances, including 2 starts, with the Mariners last season, going 1-2 with a 3.86 ERA with 15 strikeouts and 9 walks. He was claimed off waivers by Seattle from Oakland on Oct. 29, 2015.

Moore, 23, is 1-3 with a 5.65 ERA with 16 strikeouts and 4 walks in 6 starts over 2 stints (6/21-23 and 7/3-28) with the Mariners this season. Since being recalled from AAA Tacoma on July 3, he went 0-3 with a 6.07 ERA with 12 strikeouts and 4 walks in 5 starts.

Smith, 26, is batting .239 with 34 runs, 13 doubles, 6 home runs and 28 RBI in 84 games with AAA Tacoma this season.
