SEATTLE, Wash. – Seattle Mariners Executive Vice President & General Manager of Baseball Operations Jerry Dipoto announced today the following roster moves today. Right-handed pitchers Jean Machi and Emilio Pagan have both been selected from AAA Tacoma. Right-handed pitcher Casey Fien was designated for assignment and infielder Daniel Vogelback was optioned to AAA Tacoma. Shawn O’Malley was transferred to the 60-day disabled list with right shoulder tendinitis.
Machi (#64) and Pagan (#54) will be in uniform and available for tonight’s (7:10 p.m. PT) game vs. the Angels at Safeco Field.
Seattle now has 7 days to trade, release or outright Fien to the minors.
Seattle’s Major League, 40-man, roster remains full at 40.
