BELLINGHAM, Wash. — The emergency shelters in Bellingham are staying open for at least another night.
The City of Bellingham announced they will continue to operate the severe weather shelter at the Maritime Heritage Park pavilion until the freezing weather dies down.
Bellingham Police are overseeing the shelter, and Mayor Kelli Linville stopped by for a visit the first night it was open.
The Lighthouse Mission Ministries is also reporting that there is still room at both their extended shelter and the space at the Fountain Community Church.
