OLYMPIA, Wash. – Not all COVID-related restrictions will go away when the state fully re-opens on June 30th, especially for unvaccinated residents.
State Health Secretary Dr. Umair Shah tells KING 5 that mask requirements will remain for unvaccinated people in indoor and high-risk outdoor settings.
The goal of 70% of eligible residents being vaccinated remains, and Shah says about 67% of those 16 and over have gotten at least one shot at this point.
Vaccinations rates have started to go back up but Shah’s office says it’s too soon to tell if that’s due to the “Shot of a Lifetime” vaccine lottery.
