BELLINGHAM, Wash. — It appears that Bellingham will take action against the homeless camp at City Hall sometime this week.
Mayor Seth Fleetwood told a City Council committee meeting Monday that they’re sticking with a plan to remove the camp by the end of January.
He says there are vacancies at Base Camp on Cornwall and the drop-in center on Holly Street and they’re working on other options.
He acknowledges that homelessness is an issue that is roiling the city.
Bellingham City Hall and the Library will remain closed this week.
