BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Bellingham Mayor Seth Fleetwood announced the new director of the City’s Planning and Community Development Department, Blake Lyon, will start on March 1st.
Mayor Fleetwood said the new director brings local government experience and a passion for community building.
With a bachelor’s degree in environmental science and a master’s in public administration, Lyon was selected from a nationwide recruitment conducted last fall and has over 20 years experience in local governments, previously serving communities in California and Florida.
