BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Hundreds rallied in favor of abortion rights in front of Bellingham City Hall on Tuesday, including Mayor Kelli Linville.
The rally was organized by organized by Mount Baker Planned Parenthood and NARAL Pro-Choice Washington, in response to recent abortion restrictions and bans passed in other states.
“We are all here today because we agree with one fundamental truth: these bans need to stop,” said one speaker.
Mayor Linville was among the speakers at the noon rally.
She said a person can be against abortion and still be pro-choice.
“That is your choice to make. But it is my choice to make, if I believe that it’s the right choice for me, and for all of you,” she said.
