MBHS and other schools will host volcano preparedness seminars

DEMING, Wash. — As more volcanoes in the ring of fire erupt, what about Mount Baker?

The Whatcom County Division of Emergency Management is sponsoring three seminars for the public to learn about Mount Baker’s past, and preparations for future eruptions.

These seminars will be June 12th at Mount Baker High School, June 13th at Nooksack Valley High School, and June 14th at Isom Elementary School in Lynden.

All public meetings begin at 6:30 P.M., with the formal presentations at 7.
