OLYMPIA, Wash (AP) – Mead can now be sold and refilled in growlers from any place that already offers growlers for beer and cider.
Governor Inslee has signed a bill that gives mead its own designation.
It had been classified as a type of wine.
Mead is an alcoholic drink produced by fermenting honey with water.
