OLYMPIA, Wash. — More Washington counties are lifting COVID-19 related restrictions early.

Washington State Secretary of Health John Wiesman has approved applications from Wahkiakum, Skamania, and Stevens counties to move into Phase 2 of Governor Jay Inslee’s Safe Start plan.

Columbia, Garfield, Lincoln, Ferry, and Pend Oreille counties were approved last week.

To be approved, counties must have plans for accessible COVID-19 testing, contact tracing, isolation and quarantine facilities, and outbreak response.
