FERNDALE, Wash. – Court records are revealing more details about evidence against a Ferndale police officer arrested for soliciting a minor.

An investigation by Bellingham Police shows Michael Scott Langton responded to a report of a collision in an apartment complex parking lot on July 10th.

He continued to communicate with the woman who reported the incident and asked her out.

They exchanged text messages over the next two weeks and their relationship turned sexual.

The woman kept copies of texts he sent in which he confessed an attraction to children and one in which he propositioned her and her 12-year-old daughter.

She reported him to police on July 26th.
