WHATCOM COUNTY, Wash. – Snow fall totals in Whatcom County beat forecasts in many areas Saturday with eight or more inches falling in many spots.
The Emergency Management Division of the Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office says snowfall will diminish to flurries Saturday night.
Icy conditions will persist with temperatures below freezing.
Flurries are expected off and on through the day Sunday with temperatures hovering around the freezing point, then snow should increase in late afternoon ahead of another storm.
That system is expected to bring another 1 to 3 inches of snow Sunday night into Monday.
The agency advises against unnecessary travel as cold temperatures continue.
