BELLINGHAM, Wash. — A high-speed early morning motorcycle chase Tuesday on I-5 in Whatcom County reached speeds of 145-mph.
The State Patrol says a red Suzuki motorcycle on I-5 near Northwest Ave. was traveling at 130-mph about 1:30 AM according to troopers.
KIRO-TV reports near the Slater Road exit troopers clocked the motorcycle at 145 MPH.
Officials said the motorcyclist did a U-turn during the chase near Gravel Road and the Whatcom County Sheriff’s office was notified.
Troopers saw the motorcycle leaving I-5 at Sunset Drive and when the motorcyclist stopped near Sunset and Ellis St, troopers took him into custody without incident on suspicion of eluding.
