SKAGIT COUNTY, Wash. — A motorcyclist is dead after hitting a tree in Skagit County Wednesday.
The cycle was reportedly southbound on Hwy 9 near Triple Creek Lane north of McMurray at 10 pm.
State troopers say the driver was speeding and lost control.
The man was wearing a helmet but was pronounced dead at the scene.
The State Patrol has not yet released details of his identity.
