The new grass football field at Mount Baker High School is ready for game action. According to the Bellingham Herald, the new sod put down at Bob Tisdale Field has received a passing grade.

That means the Mountaineers, who opened the season with a “home” game versus Roosevelt at Meridian High School, can once again host games in Deming. Mount Baker athletic director Quinn LeSage has rescheduled the September 29th game against Lynden Christian from Civic Stadium back to Tisdale Field. The Mountaineers haven’t hosted a game in 11 months.

According to the report the field upgrade that started August 30th, cost approximately 500-thousand dollars.
