OLYMPIA, Wash. — The Mount Baker Highway is open again east of Glacier and the Mount Baker Ski Area is also open Friday.
The highway and ski area were closed Thursday due to avalanche danger.
The ski area reports they’ve received four inches of rain over the past 24 hours, but cooler temperatures should turn precipitation back to snow with 4-5 new inches expected by Saturday morning and more falling through the day.
