BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Operations at the Mount Baker Ski Area are “paused” as President Duncan Howat says the medical members of their ski patrol are needed in the coronavirus fight.

Howat says in a video posted on the ski area’s website their core staff will continue working so they’re ready to resume business as soon as possible.

They’ll reassess whether they can reopen on March 24th in the coming days.

Meanwhile, the Steven’s Pass skie area is closed until at least the 22nd and Crystal Mountain is closed indefinitely.
