MOUNT VERNON, Wash. — Mount Vernon police are investigating an early-morning assault on a juvenile Tuesday.
According to the Skagit Valley Herald, police received a call around 12:30am from a man concerned about the welfare of his son.
As police gathered information from the man, the Skagit County Sheriff’s Office and State Patrol responded to a report of an injured young man from a driver on Chuckanut Drive near the county line.
The youth was not found at the scene but later returned home with apparent knife wounds.
He was transported to Skagit Valley Hospital with non-life threatening wounds.
