MOUNT VERNON, Wash. – Investigators looking for two people who fled from police in early February now believe they may have committed a carjacking in Mount Vernon.
A Skagit-Island Multiple Agency Response Team says a male and female abandoned a blue SUV that had no tires as they ran from police on February 2nd.
Surveillance video caught them getting into a red Chevrolet Silverado pick-up on Continental Avenue just south of East College Way.
That truck had black rims and shiny step bars.
Investigators believe the driver of the truck was forced to give the pair a ride.
They hope to speak to that driver and anyone with information is urged to contact Detective Bill Howard at (360) 336-6271.
